RAYMAX Press Brake – Die Storage Racks Integrated into Machine Frame for Tool Organization

RAYMAX press brake features die storage racks built into the side frames of the machine, allowing operators to keep commonly used V-dies and punches within arm’s reach. The racks hold up to 8 die sections and 6 punch sections. The press brake itself is a 80-ton, 2.5m hydraulic model. This integrated storage reduces tool searching time and keeps the work area organized. RAYMAX provides foam cutouts for each tool. The racks are covered with acrylic doors to prevent dust accumulation. This feature is standard on all RAYMAX press brakes from 2024 onwards.

Advantages

Versatile Bending Across Multiple Industries

RAYMAX press brake serves a diverse range of industries including automobile, ship, railway, aviation, power, petrochemical, and light industry, providing complete sets of metal sheet and profile processing machinery. Our press brake machines are exported throughout the country and to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Western Europe, and South America, trusted by over 4,000 customers globally. The press brake's principle of applying controlled pressure through upper punch and lower die enables straight-line and arc bending across a wide angle range, making it highly versatile for applications from automotive body panels and switchgear cabinets to structural steel components. RAYMAX has supplied press brakes to Fortune 500 companies and maintains long-term "production, education, and research" cooperation relationships with major local universities to continuously enhance product technology.

Corrosion-Resistant Coating for Harsh Environments

RAYMAX press brake is coated with a marine-grade epoxy paint system (300μm thickness) and uses stainless steel fasteners and pins, making it suitable for coastal installations and humid tropical climates where standard machines would rust. The press brake frame is shot-blasted to SA 2.5 before painting, and a waterproof electrical enclosure (IP65) protects the controls. This press brake is available in hydraulic and servo-electric versions with bending lengths from 1.5m to 4m. RAYMAX has supplied corrosion-protected press brakes to customers in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America, with feedback indicating 5+ years without visible rust. The corrosion-resistant treatment is standard on all export models, ensuring long-term reliability in harsh environments. A 2-year warranty covers the paint finish against peeling or flaking.

Customizable OEM Options for Distributors

RAYMAX press brake offers OEM and private label options for distributors, allowing custom paint colors (RAL codes), logo plates, and user interface branding. Our engineering team adapts control panel layouts and manual languages (English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, etc.) to meet regional preferences. The press brake itself is a rugged hydraulic model with a welded steel frame that has been stress-relieved by vibration treatment for dimensional stability. Options include light curtains, tooling cabinets, and rear sheet supports. RAYMAX has supplied over 4000 press brakes worldwide since 2002, and our OEM program includes bulk discounts, container loading optimization, and local warehousing partners in key export markets. At the 136th Canton Fair, RAYMAX showcased a 125T2500 DA53T controller CNC press brake, receiving high recognition from European customers.

Selecting the correct press brake for your fabrication operation requires careful evaluation of material types, thickness ranges, production volumes, available floor space, and budget constraints. Start by identifying the maximum material thickness and tensile strength you will process, as this determines required tonnage. For carbon steel up to 6mm thickness, 40 to 60 ton machines typically suffice. For 6mm to 12mm thickness, 60 to 85 ton machines are recommended. For 12mm to 25mm thickness, 100 to 200 ton machines provide necessary capacity. For high-strength materials such as stainless steel or armor plate, tonnage requirements increase by 40 to 60 percent compared to mild steel of equivalent thickness. The industry 80 percent rule suggests that a 100-ton brake should typically run below 80 tons, reserving the top 20 percent for thicker material or worn tooling to prevent overloading. Next, evaluate the maximum working length you require, as this determines the size of plates the machine can accommodate. Standard working lengths range from 1600mm to 6000mm, with larger lengths requiring more powerful hydraulic systems and more robust frame construction. Production volume influences whether CNC automation provides sufficient productivity improvement to justify the higher initial investment, with CNC press brakes delivering the greatest value for operations processing high volumes of repeat parts. Floor space constraints may favor compact machines with integrated controls, while available power supply affects whether standard hydraulic or high-efficiency servo-hydraulic drive is preferable. Consider the variety of material types you process, as machines optimized for carbon steel may require parameter adjustments for stainless steel or aluminum. The throat depth determines how far from the material edge bends can be placed, with standard configurations offering 300mm and extended versions reaching 400mm for large plate processing. For applications requiring complex multi-bend parts, consider machines with 4-axis or 6-axis configurations providing programmable backgauge positioning along X, R, and Z axes. When evaluating suppliers, consider factory capabilities including in-house machining tools that reduce outsourcing dependencies and functional testing under simulated loads that verifies performance before shipment. Our press brakes are available in configurations from 40 tons to 2000 tons and working lengths from 1600mm to 12000mm, with technical specifications including programmable backgauge positioning, adjustable bending angle, and automatic crowning compensation. Contact our applications engineering team for assistance selecting the optimal press brake configuration based on your specific production requirements and budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the energy efficiency advantage of a servo press brake?

A servo press brake saves 30% to 60% energy compared to traditional hydraulic press brakes, thanks to servo motors and ball screws/servo pump systems that use power only during the bending process rather than continuously idling.
A swing beam shearing machine uses a rotary blade motion and is suited for thinner sheets and high-speed production, while a guillotine shearing machine features vertical blade movement, offering higher precision (adjustable cutting angle 0.5~2°) for thick plates and heavy-duty applications.
A handheld welding machine is ideal for on-site welding, repairing large workpieces, welding difficult-to-move structures, steel structure field splicing, mold repair, and advertising sign welding, offering flexibility and ease of use without requiring professional welders.
Plate rolling machines are extensively used in wind tower manufacturing to roll conical and cylindrical sections from high-strength steel plates (20-60mm thick), achieving roundness tolerances within ±1mm for proper fit-up during field erection.

RAYMAX press brake handles both straight-line and arc bending across a wide angle range from 30° to 180°. The standard tooling library includes punches with tip radii from 0.2mm to 10mm, allowing us to produce decorative architectural panels and custom automotive trim. The deep throat design of 400mm accommodates large flanged workpieces. The crowning system compensates for bed deflection automatically. The machine processes carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum with consistent accuracy. Our shop uses it for everything from simple brackets to complex curved components. The versatility has allowed us to take on a wider variety of jobs. RAYMAX's tooling design service helped us optimize our die selection. This press brake truly is a general-purpose solution.

Alex Tan

Our workshop is located in a coastal area with high humidity and salt exposure. RAYMAX press brake with marine-grade epoxy paint coating (300μm thickness) and stainless steel fasteners has shown no rust after two years of operation. The shot-blasted frame to SA 2.5 before painting and IP65 waterproof electrical enclosure provide excellent protection. Previous machines from other brands corroded within months. The press brake maintains bending accuracy despite the harsh environment. RAYMAX understood our specific climate challenges and recommended the right specification. The 2-year warranty on the paint finish gave us peace of mind. This is the only press brake that has held up in our coastal workshop. Highly recommend for humid climates.
